Consultants and competitive tendering and contracting
There was no activity relating to contracting out of delivery of government activities, previously performed by a Commonwealth agency, to another organisation.
In accordance with Senate Orders on government contracts (the Murray Motion), all PSR contracts in excess of $100 000 are displayed on the PSR website. Any other contracts or purchases in excess of $10 000 are recorded in the Commonwealth Purchasing and Disposal Gazette.
During 2005-06 PSR engaged two consultants. Mr Dale Boucher was engaged to conduct a code of conduct inquiry and was paid $19 530 for the consultancy. Professor Des Nicholls was engaged to provide statistical advice and was paid $26 066 for his work. Both were engaged as recognised experts who could provide independent assessments.
