During 2006–07, PSR did not receive any requests for access to documents under the FOI Act.
On 30 October 2006, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) handed down a decision in relation to two of the five requests Dr Warren John Saint lodged during the previous year. In those requests, some documents had been released and exemption had been claimed for other documents. The AAT affirmed both decisions to exempt those documents under various provisions of Part IV of the FOI Act. For details of the AAT decision see page 32.

The types of documents PSR holds are:
- referrals, requests for review and related documents from Medicare Australia pursuant to section 86 of the Health Insurance Act 1973 regarding the conduct of a person Medicare Australia considers may have engaged in inappropriate practice in connection with rendering or initiating services
