The types of documents PSR holds are:
- requests for review and related documents from Medicare Australia pursuant to section 86 of the Health Insurance Act 1973 regarding the conduct of a person Medicare Australia considers may have engaged in inappropriate practice in connection with rendering or initiating services
- reports of, and related documents regarding, reviews carried out by PSR
- reports of committees
- administrative files
- memoranda of understanding and other agreements
- finance and accounting records
- legal advices
- computer records
- consultancy reports and databases
- contracts
- minutes of various meetings
- general correspondence.
In respect of section 9 of the Freedom of Information Act 1982, PSR has the following document that is provided for the use of, or is used by, PSR or its officers in making decisions or recommendations, under or for the purposes of an enactment or scheme administered
