Four per cent of staff members have a disability and 28 per cent are from non-English speaking backgrounds. There are currently no identified Indigenous Australian or Torres Strait Islander employees.
PSR recruited 18 ongoing and non-ongoing staff during 2007–08. Four staff left PSR on promotion or transfer to another government agency and one retired. These numbers are significant for a small agency and have highlighted the importance of workforce and succession planning, and targeted core business training and development as key elements of PSR’s retention strategy.
