EL2 Chief Information Governance and Security Officer
Executive Level 2 ($133,597- $165,213) plus 15.4% superannuation

The business unit: The Corporate Support Unit supports all aspects of corporate functions including: executive support, corporate governance, finance, human resources, ICT, information governance, records management, property and security.
The Corporate Support Unit are proactive, cooperative and positive and work together to ensure the job gets done.
About the role
The key duties of the position include:
The Chief Information Governance and Security Officer (CIGSO) will lead the ICT, property, security, information governance and records management functions and work collaboratively with the CPO and CFO in leading the Corporate Support Unit to achieve agency outcomes, and tailor outputs that are fit for purpose. They will have a hands-on approach and work across both operational and strategic matters.
The CIGSO will oversee and manage delivery of projects across various areas using project management methodologies, managing and coordinating stakeholder and executive engagement, and leading project activities to ensure successful project delivery and outcomes.
The CIGSO is responsible for:
- providing assurance and compliance with relevant legislation and government policies and frameworks including the Archives Act 1983, Privacy Act 1988, Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), Information Security Manual (ISM) and Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
- maintaining PSR’s culture for an accountable and business focused information management environment
- ensuring the alignment of PSR’s cyber security and business objectives
- driving digital innovation and capability
- providing efficient and effective corporate services across ICT and security, facilities management, and records management
- contributing to corporate planning and reporting including the agency budget planning process.

Legal EL2 Principal Legal Officer

The business unit: The Case Management Unit reports to the General Counsel and supports the Director, Associate Directors, Committees and the DA to manage and progress cases which have been referred to PSR efficiently and effectively.
About the role
The key duties of the position include:
The PLO works autonomously and is accountable for the delivery of legal services and advice provided by the Case Management Unit staff. The PLO determines case strategy and direction and implements required system changes within the Case Management Unit to ensure efficient delivery of services to PSR entities.
The PLO makes recommendations and provides advice on solutions and emerging issues that may impact the Case Management Unit, PSR, the PSR Scheme and broader medicare regulatory landscape. The PLO provides strategic and technical advice in relation to both PSR cases and broader Agency objectives. The PLO will collaborate within PSR and share experience on matters of significance to the PSR scheme. The PLO is ultimately accountable for the delivery of Director, Associate Director and Committee stage PSR work.
The role involves demonstrating high levels of professional leadership and guidance including allocation of resources and workloads and contributing to ongoing improvements in workflow and team structure.
The PLO is responsible for the provision of advice to the Director, Associate Directors or to a PSR Committee in respect of allocated matters. The PLO is also responsible for the management and conduct of Committee processes, including the hearing, and the delivery of Committee Reports within agreed timeframes.
The PLO is responsible for ensuring that the management of cases complies with legislative requirements and administrative law principles.
The PLO role includes managing the provision of procedural, legislative and regulatory matters in the context of the PSR scheme (set out in Part VAA of the HI Act) and in relation to privacy, Freedom of Information and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) requirements.

About the role
The key duties of the position include:
The SLO provides guidance on procedural, legislative and regulatory matters in the context of the PSR scheme (set out in Part VAA of the HI Act).
The SLO is predominantly responsible for day-to-day oversight and delivery of work in relation to matters at the Director or Associate Director stage of the review process, in line with statutory timeframes. This involves managing a small caseload as well as supervising and developing case managers and working collaboratively in a small team. As part of matter management, the SLO may provide legal advice both independently and under the direction of senior legal staff.
The SLO may also assist Principal Legal Officers in managing cases at the Committee stage of the review process, including drafting relevant documents and attending hearings.
The SLO works with a high level of autonomy and accountability in delivering legal and case management services to the Director, Associate Directors, PSR Committees and the Determining Authority. The role makes recommendations and provides advice on solutions, emerging issues and issues that may impact the Case Management Unit.
The SLO provides professional leadership and guidance, including the allocation of resources and workloads. The SLO will provide guidance and advice on legally technical or strategically complex matters. Matters impacting the overall operations of the Case Management Unit, PSR, the PSR Scheme and the broader Medicare compliance landscape will be escalated to the principal legal officer.
